1 Jamaal Magloire 2011-12

Jamaal Magloire was selected 19th overall in the 2000 NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets and spent five seasons with the franchise, becoming an all star in 2004 (the second Canadian to do so, after Steve Nash in 2002). He played for a few more teams in the following years, and then in his last NBA season suited up for the raptors for 2011-2012, when he signed a one year deal in December 2011. He re-signed again in September 2012 but was waived a month later, and never played again. He finished his NBA career with 7.2 points per game (ppg), 6.5 rebounds per game (rpg) and 0.9 blocks per game (rpg). With the raptors he averaged 1.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg and 0.3 bpg. A few weeks after he was waived, the raptors hired Magloire as their basketball development consultant and community ambassador, which is the role he still holds today.

2 Cory Joseph 2015-17

It took a few years for another Canadian to play for the raptors, and then two signed in 2015. The first of these was recent NBA champion (2014 with the San Antonio Spurs) Cory Joseph. He was drafted 29th overall by the Spurs in 2011, and was chiefly a backup for Tony Parker during his time there. He then signed with the raptors in July 2015, and saw a significant increase in playing time, though his role remained the same (this time a backup to Kyle Lowry). He spent two years with his hometown team before being traded to the Indiana Pacers. He averaged 8.9 ppg and 3.2 apg (assists per game) for the raptors. He subsequently suited up for three more teams after the Pacers, the most recent being the Golden State Warriors whom he last played for in February 2024. He was then traded to the Pacers again and waived, and thus remains a free agent at the time of writing.

3 Anthony Bennett 2015-16

In September 2015, former first overall pick (2013) Anthony Bennett signed with the raptors, joining Joseph. He was the first Canadian ever selected first overall, but sadly did not live up to this high selection and signed with the Raptors on a veterans minimum on the eve of his third season, after failing to make an impact on two different teams in his first two years. Sadly this trend continued and he was waived in March 2016. He played for the Brooklyn Nets the following season before dropping out of the NBA entirely. His career since then has turned him into something of a globetrotter, playing for teams in places such as Turkey, Israel and Taiwan. He last played for the Hsinchu JKO Lioneers in Taiwan in 2023 and is currently a free agent. He averaged 1.5 ppg and 1.2 rpg during his time as a raptor.

4 Chris Boucher 2018-present

Chris Boucher signed for the raptors in the summer of 2018 as a free agent, having become an NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors the season prior. He was unable  to play for them in the playoffs however due to being on a two-way contract, which he signed after going Undrafted in 2017. He was on a two way contract with the raptors as well until February 2019, then they converted it into a standard NBA contract following some excellent performances in the NBA G-League with the Raptors 905, their G-League affiliate. He had averages of 27.2 ppg, 11.4 rpg and 4.1 bpg and was the first player to be both G-league MVP and defensive player of the year, while also being the first non American player to win MVP. He played in a couple games during the raptors 2019 NBA playoff run where he again became an NBA champion when the raptors won the title, becoming the first and only Canadian to win a title with the Raptors. He is still with the team as of the time of writing, with whom he has averages of 8.7 ppg 5.2 rpg and 1.0 bpg.

5 Oshae Brisset 2019-20

Oshae Brisset went Undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft and then signed with his hometown Raptors, the current NBA champions in July. His contract was then converted into a two way, and he split playing time between the NBA and the G-League. He was waived by the team prior to the 20-21 season, having appeared in 19 games for the raptors with averages of 1.9 ppg and 1.4 rpg. He was then drafted by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the 2021 NBA G-League draft in January and earned a spot on the all G-league second team. He then signed with the Indiana Pacers in April, where he played until 2023. In July of that year he signed with the Boston Celtics where he plays currently.

6 Khem birch 2021-23

In April of 2021, Khem Birch signed with the raptors for the rest of the 2020-2021 season after being waived by the Orlando Magic. He had some solid performances which led him re-sign with the raptors in August of that year on a three year deal. In February 2023, he was traded to the San Antonio Spurs as part of a deal for Jakob Poeltl. He did not appear in a single game for them and was waived before the start of the 23-24 NBA season. On February 5 2024, Birch signed with Basquet Girona of the Spanish Liga ACB where he plays currently. He averaged 11.9 ppg, 7.6 rpg and 1.9 apg prior to being re-signed by the raptors, but only averaged 4.5, 4.3 and 1.1 respectively in a much larger sample size after that.

7 Dalano Banton 2021-23

Banton became the first Canadian to be drafted by the Raptors, when he was selected 46th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. He chose to wear the number 45, honouring the 45 bus route on the TTC which served the neighborhood he grew up in Toronto. He spent two years with the team and the G-League raptors 905, averaging under 5 ppg and under 2 rpg and apg in limited playing time. He signed a two year contract with the Boston Celtics in July 2023 along with Oshae Brisset, but was traded in February 2024 to the Portland Trail Blazers, whom he is currently with.

8 RJ Barrett 2024-present

The recent trend of the raptors having multiple Canadians on their roster continued halfway through the 2023-2024 NBA season, when RJ Barrett was part of a trade for O.G Anunoby on December 30, 2024, from the New York Knicks. Barrett was drafted third overall by New York in the 2019 NBA draft, and first suited up for the raptors on New Year’s Day 2024. Barrett had a mostly successful time with the Knicks, scoring a career high 46 points on February 25th 2022, and that same season became the 7th player in NBA history to score more than 3400 points, 1100 rebounds and 550 assists before turning 22, joining several current and future Hall of famers such Lebron James and Tracy McGrady. He has averaged 21.8 ppg, 6.4 rpg and 4.1 apg as a member of the raptors so far.

9 Kelly Olynyk 2024- present

On February 8th 2024, Kelly Olynyk became the third Canadian to play on the current raptors team, having been traded from the Utah Jazz in a trade involving Otto Porter Jr. He then signed a multi-year extension with this hometown team on March 4th. He was drafted 13th overall by the Dallas Mavericks and then traded on draft night to the Boston Celtics, where he made the NBA all rookie second team and subsequently played for three other teams before suiting up for the Jazz. So far in his raptors career he has averages of 12.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 4.7 apg.
